The Worn Blanket is one of those old items in Animal Jam that became quite rare. This item is worn on the back of your animal, and actually looks quite cozy and warm.

The Worn Blanket was first released on October 4, 2010. That makes this item almost eight years old. It used to be sold at the Jam Mart Clothing shop, and went into clearance in 2011. It made its comeback at the end of 2011 as a prize for several different adventures in AJ.

In the picture above, you can see what the Worn Blanket looks like. It appears to have quite a few holes in it, but is still in one piece. The largest hole is in the center of the blanket, with smaller holes along the sides. You can also see several tears along the bottom of the blanket.

When equipped, it drapes over the back of your animal. There are ten different variants of the Worn Blanket. Two of those variants are rare, and are quite difficult to obtain.

Leap Year Party Worn Blanket

The first of the rare Worn Blankets was released on February 29, 2012, during the Leap Year Party. It has a purple color, and is simply called Rare Worn Blanket. The design of this blanket is the same as the other variants. Only the color is different. It was on sale for 125 Gems.

Rare Item Monday Worn Blanket

The second of the rare Worn Blankets was released on June 9, 2014. It was available for only one day, as it was made available on a Rare Item Monday. The blanket has a similar design to all the other variants, but has a light-blue color. You could buy the RIM Worn Blanket for 200 Gems at the Jam Mart Clothing shop.

Spring Worn Blanket

Back in February of last year, there was a Spring Collection sale in the Diamond Shop. During that sale, you could buy the Spring Worn Blanket for 2 Diamonds. Just like the other variants, this blanket has a similar design, but rocks a light-green color, which makes it pop out more.

Besides the three variants mentioned above, there are eight more variants. These variants have the colors Red, Blue, Brown, Cream, Green, Pink, Black and Purple. Check out the pictures below to get a sense of what the other Worn Blanket variants look like.

How to Get Worn Blankets

It is no longer possible to buy the Worn Blankets in any of the shops in AJ. However, there is a number of different ways to obtain them. Let’s take a closer look at how to obtain them.

Trading

First of all, the easiest way to get Worn Blankets is by trading for them. The only problem is that you will need to find someone that is willing to trade with you. Since the items are quite rare, you will have to offer a substantial amount of items yourself. Be sure to check out this guide on how to safely trade on Animal Jam, as there are many scammers in the game.

Adventure Prizes

The regular Worn Blankets can still be won by playing adventures in Animal Jam. Especially the Restricted Passage Treasure Chests seem to be dropping them quite often. Some of the Shard Chests and Ground Chests at The Forgotten Desert also include Worn Blankets. Items won on adventures are random, but there is always a chance for you to win what you want.

Rare Worn Blanket Codes

How to Use Animal Jam Codes

Check out the instructions below for a guide on how to enter Animal Jam codes. There are two different ways to redeem the codes: when you login and while you’re playing.

Option 1: Enter an Animal Jam Code When You Login

Entering codes when you log in is easy, all you have to do is check the box when you login then enter your code. Some codes have to be typed exactly as they are spelled so make sure you use caps lock if they are in capital letters.

Once you login, a gift box will appear with your promo code gift.

Click the box and you’ll unlock your promo code reward! The codes are good for however many gems it says on the list.

Option 2: Enter an Animal Jam Code While You’re Playing

If you want to enter a code while you are playing the game, just follow these instructions. First click on the settings button at the top right side of your screen.

Now click on the button that says “Enter Code”.

Just type in your code and click the continue button. You’ll get your prize from the code right away!
