Betas are items that were available during the Beta Testing period of Animal Jam, which ended on September 9, 2010. The Lobster Tail resembles the tail of a lobster, with underside that is a variety of colors, and the top having multiple dark spots, giving the appearance of a smooth, shell-like feature with a tail fan and a wide build. As a Jammer, you probably know that there are many kinds of animals in Animal Jam. There are flying animals, land animals and ocean animals. Sharks are one of the most feared ocean animals out there, and by putting on the Shark Tail, you can look exactly like one!
The Shark Tail was first released into the game on August 10, 2017. It was a part of the 2017 Summer Box, which is released quarterly. To get the tail, you needed to redeem a code that was included in the box. It can be recycled for 300 Gems, although that is not advisable!
You can clearly see in the picture above that the tail is that of a shark. It has a grey color, and has several fins on it. The caudal fin, which is the largest fin on the back, has a chip in it. This is a common thing among some animals in AJ. The Shark Tail comes in only one variant.
2017 AJ Summer Box
What exactly is the Animal Jam Box? It is basically a box that contains items that are related to Animal Jam, such as toys, plush, clothing items, jewelry and more. It is subscription based, and is sent out quarterly. This means that every three months, you will get one box.
In order to get the Shark Tail, you would need to redeem the code that came with the 2017 Summer Box. Since we are currently in 2018, it is no longer possible to get that particular box. However, I have seen some 2017 Summer Box ads on the internet. It’s not impossible.
How to Get a Shark Tail in Animal Jam
I have already mentioned throughout this article that there was only one way to get a Shark Tail. However, after the promotion ended, there were still many Jammers out there that did not have a subscription to the Animal Jam Box, thus couldn’t get the Shark Tail code. Luckily, there are still ways to get the tail, even if it has been a year since the box was released.
Trading
Trading is an essential part of AJ. Without trading, Jammers wouldn’t be able to get most of the items in the game. There are always players that are willing to trade their duplicates and unneeded items. The Shark Tail is one of those items that you can trade for. However, what you need to keep in mind is that such promo items are quite rare.

Shark Tail Codes
