There are many seasonal items in Animal Jam. Seasonal items return every year, during a certain event, or time period. The Holiday Sweater is one of those items. This clothing item was released on December 7, 2013. It was the 7th gift on the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar of that year.
Last Updated 1/1/19. Not to be confused with the Holiday Sweater. The Jamaaliday Sweater was first released on December 9, 2015, and was formerly sold at the Shiveer Shoppe in Mount Shiveer.It was re-released on December 1, 2016, and was relocated to Jam Mart Clothing. The RIM version was released on December 11, 2017, as a Rare Item Monday. Not to be confused with the Holiday Sweater. The Jamaaliday Sweater is a members-only land clothing item. It was released at the Shiveer Shoppe on December 9, 2015. On December 1, 2016, it was relocated to Jam Mart Clothing. It was re-released again in December 2017 but left stores on January 7, 2018. It returned to stores sometime during late November 2018. It was put on clearance on January. It really reminds me of the Jamaaliday Gift, Holiday Sweater. (Do you think AJHQ just ran out of ideas?) I found an uber-cool AJHQ website, called Animal Jam Everloop! They have polls, posts, and sometimes even contests where you can win free membership! They have a cool background!
After its initial release, the Holiday Sweater returned the following years as well. It would drop as a reward during the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar event. Today, we are going to take a closer look at the Holiday Sweater!
AJ Holiday Sweater Variants
The Holiday Sweater looks like a thick, knitted sweater. It has patterns of a snowman on the front, and on the arms. There are candy canes knitted at the bottom of the sweater, as well as the arms. The item comes in a total of nine different variants. The first seven variants are can be seen below.
Glitched Holiday Sweater
The red variant of the Holiday Sweater is also considered a glitched version. That has to do with the fact that the red variant did not release as a Jamaaliday Gift Calendar reward, but rather as an adventure prize. You can obtain this variant by completing the Forgotten Desert adventure.
Rare Holiday Sweater
The rare variant of the Holiday Sweater was released as a prize in Jamaaliday Rescue. In order to obtain it, you had to complete Jamaaliday Rescue. This variant is light-blue, and has the rare tag.

The Holiday Sweater is a seasonal item that returns as a Jamaaliday Gift every year. That means that if you want to obtain one for yourself, you are going to have to wait for the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar event to start. However, there are certain other ways to obtain the item as well. Let’s take a look at how you can get a Holiday Sweater without waiting for the Jamaaliday Calendar.
Adventure Prizes
The Forgotten Desert adventure has the red variant of the Holiday Sweater in its prize pool. This means that you can obtain the red variant by simply completing the adventure. Because of the fact that this variant is only obtainable as an adventure prize, it is also known as glitched.
Trading
Clothing items in Animal Jam are tradable. This means that all variants of the Holiday Sweater can be traded. If you want to obtain one for yourself, you could always ask around if there is anyone willing to trade theirs with you. Go to crowded places, such as the Jamaa Township, in order to increase your chances of finding a trader that actually owns the Holiday Sweater.
